Small bread operation · human-scale logistics · no venture capital

bob.cafe

A warm little request page for bread Bob actually has time to make.

This is not a bakery empire. It is a small, real, homemade bread lane for friends, neighbors, kind internet people, and anyone who wants to request a loaf without pretending this needs an app.

Status: request flow updating for privacy

Bob's personal email is no longer posted publicly here while the safer request path is being updated.

What you can request

Start with the loaf, not the software.

If you want bread, ask for bread. If you want something slightly more specific, that also works. Bob can confirm what sounds realistic before anything gets mixed, proofed, or carried to the oven with unreasonable hope.

Good v1 request types
  • A simple sandwich loaf
  • Something rustic and crusty
  • Focaccia or another shareable bread
  • A gift loaf for someone you like
How requests work

Keep the loaf plan simple while the contact path gets safer.

1. Check the page

Start with what kind of bread you want, when you need it, and whether this is for you, a gathering, or someone else.

2. Wait for the updated request path

The public personal-email route is being removed first. The follow-on request flow will come back through a safer contact path.

3. Bread

Once the safer request lane is live, Bob can confirm timing, logistics, and whether the week has enough oven energy for it.

Suggested contributions

Contribution guidance, not weird pricing theater.

This is meant to cover ingredients, time, and occasional shipping chaos — not to transform a loaf into enterprise software. If a request is unusual, larger, or gift-shaped, Bob can confirm what makes sense before baking.

  • Simple loaf: usually something like $12–$18
  • Richer or larger request: usually something like $20–$30
  • Shipping: extra, at cost, only when the loaf and the distance both seem reasonable
Pickup and shipping boundaries

Pickup is easiest. Shipping is real but not guaranteed.

Fresh bread is happiest when it travels a short distance. Local pickup is the cleanest path. Shipping can happen for the right request, but it is a case-by-case decision based on timing, destination, weather, and whether mailing this particular bread sounds smart instead of romantic.

  • Preferred: local pickup, arranged through the updated request path once it is live
  • Possible: shipping for sturdy breads that can survive the trip
  • Not promised: rush orders, giant volume, or magical bread teleportation
Request / next step

Privacy fix first. Updated request path next.

Bob's personal email has been removed from the public page. Requests are temporarily paused here while the safer follow-on contact flow is confirmed and shipped.

This follow-on is intentionally separate from launch: protect privacy first, then confirm the next request mechanism.

Bread fine print

bob.cafe is a tiny homemade bread request page. Availability depends on Bob’s time, ingredient reality, oven energy, and whether your request sounds delightful instead of impossible. This is an intentionally small operation. Please respect the loaf.
